41 weeks agoAmazon S3 SLA
Today Amazon announced introduction of a Service Level Agreement for S3. It promises to give 10% service credits to customers who had error rate higher than 0.1% that month, or 25% credit if error rate was 1% or higher. This is a big improvement compared to no SLA at all, but it has some fine print -- to be eligible you'll need to provide logs that document the amount of errors you've got. Obviously, everyone would prefer Amazon to just calculate this themselves but we have what we have. I'll investigate more and will update this entry once I know better what exactly this means to our users.
