102 weeks agoBeta 9 - Scheduling and more
Beta 9 has a number of new useful features, the most awaited one, of course, is scheduling (powered by Windows Task Scheduler)

You can have some really intricate backup scenarios that include multiple schedules (for ex. backup weekly + every time computer is idle for 15 minutes), waking computer up to perform the scheduled backup and also make it run while you are logged off.
Another much-requested feature is an option to propagate local file deletions.

The storage manager is gone and now replaced by a more intuitive and powerful settings dialog:

S3 Backup now has bandwidth throttle, proxy support, and a few more advanced options.
Another highlight of this release is support for custom encryption key independent from the account password. That enables you to encrypt your data with a private password but still use unattended backups.
I've also fixed a number of bugs, like the one that prevented full disk backups.
There are many more small improvements scattered through the app. Just to give you an example, the debug log window got an option [not] to pop up when a warning is issued (keep it off unless you like watching debug messages).

Next thing on my to-do list are Mac and Linux/UNIX releases. I will write more about my plans with that one of these days.
For now, download the app, backup your data and have fun.
